Swan's Song - Through the Canal to the Caribbean!

Hello!
Yesterday we cruised the Panama Canal and had many cool opportunites to watch the locks operate. What an engineering marvel! As we cruised the lakes between the two sets of locks we could see villages with thatched huts tucked away on the islands. An aside to Monica and Tom - there were no "For Sale" signs on them, maybe you could build your own hut? There was a local expert that came on board to tell us some very interesting stories and facts about the buidling of the canal as we cruised through.

Today we arrived in Puerto Limon at 7 am for a full day of excursions and SHOPPING! I am speaking at 5 pm this evening and if everyone feels as lazy as me it could be a very laid back lecture!
I have to admit something a little sad though - as soon as I saw the sign "Pizza Hut -Internet cafe" today in Puerto Limon, my heart leaped in gratitude! They have really excellent pizza and the beer pitchers here have an ice cooler attached to the jug! (I think this all should fit under the category -"research!)
I'll be blogging next from Montego Bay, Jamaica, mon!
